Drillco 7000A Series Magnum Solid Carbide Aluminum Cut Bur, Cylindrical Radius End, 1/4" Shank Diameter, 1/2" Head Diameter, 1" Cutting Length carbide burs are one of the most widely used and versatile cutting tools, used in virtually every industry. Manufactured from tungsten carbide, they are primarily used to remove burrs (the small flakes of metal) that often remain on the workpiece after the machining process. Solid carbide tools offer long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, but are more brittle and must be used with rigid tool holding systems. Uncoated tools feature just the base substrate without any additional treatment or coatings and are suitable for a wide range of applications. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of tool holding systems. Double-cut style has rows of cutting teeth cut in two intersecting directions for fast material removal and a rougher finish. Aluminum cut burs have more aggressive cutting edges for rapid stock removal with minimum chip. Ideal for aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. Round tree shape.
