This ED024940 package contains 10 lb of 1/8-inch diameter, 14-inch-long stick electrodes for hardfacing applications such as buckets, chain links, rolling mill guides, pulleys, and ingot tongs. Key Features Abrasion and impact resistance: Deposits a moderately hard wear surface for demanding service conditions. Elevated-temperature performance: Lincoln lists abrasion resistance with impact at temperatures up to 1,100°F (600°C). Improved spalling resistance: Higher alloy content improves resistance to spalling compared with Wearshield ABR. AC or DC+ operation: Supports either current type, with DC+ listed as the preferred polarity. Flat and horizontal welding: Designed for hardfacing in these positions.
