E309LT0-3 is a low-carbon, self-shielded stainless steel flux-cored welding wire designed for welding without an external shielding gas. Its 309L stainless weld deposit provides good corrosion resistance while the low carbon content helps reduce the risk of intergranular corrosion caused by carbide precipitation.
E309LT0-3 is commonly used for joining dissimilar metals, such as stainless steel to mild or low-alloy steel, and is also well suited for buttering, cladding, overlay, repair, and maintenance applications. The self-shielded design makes it especially useful for field welding and applications where supplying external shielding gas is impractical.
